This collection of poems walks through adoring conversations with the author’s children, grapples with faith, and showcases poems from the author’s historic fiction novels. I think the overall poems are lovely, I just wish they were organized by those categories. The first few poems are so widely different from each other, it was a jarring listen from one to the next. Overall, I can tell each of these were deeply meaningful to the author. Congrats on your poetry Nick!

The narrator, John, does a great job of animating the voices of different characters. The fist poem feels a little distant but by the third or fourth poem, I really enjoyed his narration style. He has such a warm voice!

It’s always a delight to see those you know release new books and content. This brings those same feelings! Congratulations sir on yet another release!

This book is, as the title indicates, a rather random and disorganized collection of both poetry and prose.

Concerning those pieces, “Colors” was very cool, “coffee” had an insightful and very powerful twist, and others showed various elements of cunning insight and/or cheerful fun.

However, with the audiobook, there were often examples of poor rhythm (either due to narrator or writer, though more of the former) that sullied, somewhat, the pace and flow of some of the pieces.

The eclectic arrangement overall was odd, with no discernable pattern of categories, but this may appeal to others more than me. It’s a personal thing, as I really like things to be organized.

This poetry book was very entertaining to say the least. Immediately when I started reading the first poem it made me smile and laugh. Well written, creative, and enjoyable!

Fun Facts!

This book was completed in just a few months from start to finish. It is my shortest book, however, reaching only a little over 100 pages.

I chose purple for the cover since I wanted to make it stand out from my other book covers. At the time of its publication, no other book cover had any purple in it.

The oldest poem in the book was written over a decade before the book's publication.

J.R.R. Tolkien was my greatest inspiration to incorporate songs and poems throughout almost all of my books.

This book holds the only English translation (so far) of the Clapians' marching song from Clapia's Rebirth.
