The Zalian Chronicles: Volume 3 - Book 5
Conclusion of the Clapian Trilogy (Books 3 - 5)
Nathan & Korhn...
Mary & Jon...
Nila & Sophia...
All separated from each other in the frigid Nation of Clapia.
All seeking to reach the palace stronghold of Pix-Penva to rescue their friend, David.
And to face the vengeful ruler of the Clapians, Vanar, to end the war.
Even without ever seeing him before or being introduced, I knew he was King Vanar.
His robes looked nothing short of exemplary quality. Dyed a very dark red, around the same hue as blood, which was unsettling. But the style of his garments weren’t like what I had seen royalty wear before. They weren’t flowy. The extent of his red robes barely covered his thighs, tied up in a large, leather belt. Vanar wore black pants underneath his robes, but his attire all gave the feel that he was ready for action at any moment. In fact, the robes looked purposely tight on his upper torso. I suppose this was for intimidation, because it revealed Vanar’s massive muscle-mass
underneath his clothes.
He was enormous. In both size and muscle. He had some resemblance in his face to Trez, but had to be at least a foot taller. And Trez was indeed very fit, but Vanar completely outshone him. His arms looked like they were thicker than tree trunks. His shoulder muscles bulged so much, it looked like he was constantly flexing.
He was a giant among giants. A hulking, monstrous super Clapian. He had a glare that made my body shudder involuntarily. A haunting scowl that showed nothing but hatred. It felt almost otherworldly, like he had some sort of evil spirit of vengeance possessing him, silently threatening me of my impending death.

Fun Facts!
Every weapon Trez uses in this book is a weapon that was not his own.
Orion, though appearing as a child, is the one of the oldest creatures in all of Zalia.
The idea to make Hrata, the Demon of Wrath, look spideresque came from a reptile shop that I often visited. Tarantulas were sold there and they always leapt at the glass as I watched them, often acting both angry and violent.
My Hero Academia inspired me to allow Sophia's healing ability to evolve and improve over time. Just as MHA heroes can develop their quirk into a better version of it, so Sophia can refine her healing ability with training and determination.
Wosyu was a decorated soldier of Clapia that was permitted leave from the battlefield due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. This is why he goes so far to help Nathan - he lived with immense guilt after killing so many innocent people.
